You know life is good when...

...your husband is in the kitchen baking biscotti.

Pain in the Abdomen

This is a sneak peek of a piece about my gallbladder. It is not finished by any means. Right now it's waiting to dry so I can add more.

All the Catching Up I've Been Meaning to Do

This is not a meaningful post. It's a catch-up post. I'm catching you up with my world. So enjoy the mindlessness.

Homemade Pasta:
Katie and I spent the entire night talking about pomegranates and how beautiful they are.

Then came our home state party! You have to fully appreciate our beautiful state to really enjoy this night. Which included:

Crab Cakes

Smith Island Cake
And this is what Noah and I made for dinner. Thank you Cook's Illustrated for this delectable enchilada recipe!
And thus, you are caught up. Minus a few things like the fact that we were denied for medicaid and Noah has a sculpture on campus!

The Lunch Elves

When Noah and I were dating I told him I would make his lunch for him. Since being married we've discovered that Noah is the real morning person and ends up making lunch in the morning for me. So this is what I found on my sandwich this afternoon:

"Dear Becky-

Mischievous little lunch elves made this for you while I was asleep. So if there is something not to your liking--its their fault. I love you so much and I hope you have a wonderful day. See you tonight!

-<3 Noah"

Accepting Donations

You may be wondering yet again, where has Becky been? Well let's begin with Monday. I woke up Monday morning with a little back pain. It's familiar to me and I knew something very painful was to follow, but I went back to bed and thought the worst was over. Was I ever wrong.

After calling in to work I woke up at 8:30 in severe pain. I felt very much like throwing up. So I call my husband 5 times to beg him to take me to the health center. There is no answer. Luckily Whitney, from the ward, answered her phone the second time I desperately called her.

On our way to the BYU Health Center I thanked her by throwing up in her car(in the trash can I brought along just in case). I then spent my morning being stabbed 6 times in order to test my blood, peeing in a cup, and getting a very pricey ultrasound. The conclusion...

GALLSTONES!!!!

This picture is untrue. If I could actually do that I would. Instead, I'm paying for a doctor to remove my little sack of stones for a hefty sum. I am now accepting donations to pay for the cause.

It's all in the family...

There are no new pictures to post. I haven't done much of note lately in the craft department and I'm letting the dishes pile up like I told Noah not to do. That is all mostly because I've yet again become addicted to my search for my lineage. It's ridiculous really. My family history has consumed my days. I'm a genealogy junkie.

Beachy Keen

And thus we arrived in Tampa after a long day in the airport followed by a long trip in the car.

Family bonding time on the beach. My personal favorite.

Basically what this picture says is we're beach people. We are hardcore, any time of the day or night, rain or cold, we go to the beach. Noah says, "We're like the actual postal service (not the band). Parenthesis on the end."

This is a happier day for Noah. Now he's complaining that I won't let him go to bed. Posh.

This is more like what he's good at. Destroying other people's dreams. Noah says, "Stop writing bad things about me! *Beats Spouse*" Actually he's just sick still from the trip. He was a trooper this day wheezing and coughing, but I still think he loved it.

My sisters are fantastic architects. They even buried Raelee in the sand.

This is mostly what made Noah's day. Please note the kite string. He attached it to his chair and left it there. No effort involved. That's what the beach is about.

Unless you're me. Then the artistic juices are flowing and I just had to do something creative. I made a sand mermaid. Way cooler than the sand castles, alligators, fish, caves, etc.

The end.

Chicago

This is how we began our vacation. Stuffy noses, hacking coughs, etc.

It didn't keep us from going in to the city for a visit to the Chicago Theatre to see Cirque du Soleil.
Christmas Eve we all got pedicures.

Nasty feet no more!
Noah looked like he was on drugs by the end. The massage chair was his favorite part I think.
And thus ends our trip to "the city of big shoulders."
