Right now, another copy of myself might be a good idea. My to-do lists have become incredibly lengthy and some days I feel like the above.

Here's to the Man

I know you see all these shout outs about people who give tributes to their husbands. Today, I would like to campaign for my husband. I know I mentioned he should be president of the United States, and this is why:



1. When I begged him to not make me work over the summer and just enjoy myself he said "OK."
2. I got a new job and he's taken on the role of housekeeper and cook(while he's still working and going to school as well).
3. He did the dishes 2 times in a row. He HATES doing dishes.
4. He did my laundry so we both can have underwear.
5. He took me to a trailer park and ate tacos out of someone's shack attached to their trailer.
6. I never hear him complain about how late I have to work even when I bring work home.
7.When I post these potentially embarrassing photos of him on my blog he won't get mad(mostly because he never reads it).

So vote for Noah! President of the United States 2012!

A Vent on the Old Oven

Normally I don't go about saying political things on my blog. (How many of you are still reading after that statement?) Mostly this blog is for me to go back and read to boost my self-esteem. I go back to older posts and think about how funny and witty I am. However, I find myself perturbed lately.

I get forwarded e-mails and occasionally I'll skim through one, halfway through find that it really is junk and delete it. What bothers me is that most of the forwards are complaints. It's like my inbox is whining to me like the kids at school because we haven't gone to recess yet.

I'm a bit tired of those complaints, especially when they're filled with hate mail for our country or it's leadership. I hate to say it, but we're not really doing anything to change it. I find that we're a lot of talk and not so much action. We're content letting other people lead and discussing how much we hate what's going. What happened to "united we stand, divided we fall." I think(no factual backing here, just my opinion) that other countries would respect us more if we had a little more respect for ourselves. I know America thrives on independence, but what happens when we all go about worrying about ourselves. We make ourselves happy and the people around us are unhappy because we took no consideration for their wants and needs. We end up hating each other.

It's basically what we're doing with our leadership. I'm also not such a big fan of the Obama bashing. My thought is, don't vote for him. Vote for someone else. Vote for the independent party for goodness sake. Maybe they'll win. He's the president of the United States and he's leading us for the time being; there's really not much to do about that until 2012. So his policies are crappy, you voted for him and even if you didn't you did vote for other politicians in the Senate and the House supporting him. At that point, even if the politicians you voted for aren't in office he's still the president until 2012. Besides, how many of us actually voted? I feel like I can't complain about Obama because I didn't vote. Mostly due to the fact that I didn't like either candidate or their policies. This time I'm going to vote and I'm voting for Noah. He'd make a very handsome president and I wouldn't mind living in the White House.

All of this whining(including my own) reminds me of Israel in the Old Testament. They complained a lot and look what happened to them. They wandered in the wilderness for 40 years and after they finally cleaned up their act they did it again so God scattered their people. I personally do not want to end up a scattered people. Buck up! Show some patriotism! Start saying good things about people and do something to change it if it bothers you. If you are at a loss for ideas try starting a petition, a movement, writing a letter to your representatives, or like I did you can fill out one of the surveys they send you and write all over it with questions(I'm pretty sure they'll never send me another survey.)

As one of the 5th graders said on their district writing test, "I rest my case."

A Good Laugh

Noah and I were winding down from a lovely evening with our neighbors when we came home to view the following thanks to a little help from a friend. Please watch a show and enjoy the calming music as you view a riverbottom lot or perhaps a newly remodeled double wide.

Sometimes I still can't believe this is happening. I wake up every morning and come to work where I'm in charge. There are 7 little faces looking up at me and I'm trying to figure out what to teach them!

And now, lunch is almost over. I have to go, but wow.

My New Life

So yesterday I moved my entire classroom. Today, I watched Wilson videos and scrapbooked! The following is the result:

AND we decided to do the Co-op this month. Look at all my produce! We didn't do the meat share, but this next month we will be. The produce was fresh and wonderful and it was cheap! I think we'll keep doing this from here on out.




All for around $13 because we also got granola.

Also, as a side note, I referred to my classroom as home recently. I'm spending too much time here.
