Happy Halloween

Halloween started off Friday for me at school. I went as "Sleeping Beauty." I wore my pj's.

Today we finally carved pumpkins in between relief society meetings.

What a cheeser.

Noah said his mom would never let him do this...so I guess now that he's an adult he's defying his mother...
I went for the classic pirate however.

Happy Halloween from the Coleman's!

Here to Brag

Ok, so I don't normally brag (I know, I really do, but it helps if I pretend that I don't), but I had the most amazing meals this week. Since the start of our union I've begun packing on the pounds because honestly I thought I was getting enough exercise (even though we never actually did) and that I was eating pretty great(which I was, kind of, but I was eating a lot more than I needed). Anyway, back to my meals:

Sunday: Lentil Soup with Ham
Monday: Artichokes with Spicy Rubbed Lean Pork
Tuesday: Sweet Potato Soup with Fresh Green Beans
Wednesday: Pizzeria 712 (sooooo good, but boy does pizza rack up the calories!)
Thursday: Vichyssoise with Roasted Cauliflower

All of the above were either gleaned from the Weight Watchers website or modified from an original recipe. Can you tell that I'm on a soup kick? Saturday is butternut squash soup. (P.S. Speaking of food, yes Stacy we are planning on coming for Thanksgiving and I'd love to contribute something incredibly delicious). Was anyone aware you could have such delicious meals on a low-fat diet? I had no idea and I've done Weight Watchers before!

On another note, the following is why I'm not exercising:

This time, I fell over my own two feet and it yet again got infected. I'm thinking about getting titanium knee caps.

Losing It

So, I did it. I joined Weight Watchers again. I can just imagine myself skinny again. This week in our meeting we talked about rewards. She told us to make a list of rewards big and small. So here it goes(I feel like I'm making a Christmas list):

iTunes songs
a new shirt/pair of shoes
a new pair of pants
fabric
manicure
pedicure
new bra
a book
movie out
a trip to the beach
camping stuff
Jewelry(cheap or expensive)
a cool pen(like my favorite one that I will be very sad to lose)
How to Train Your Dragon
Blue Ray Player/New DVD Player
Ice Cream Maker
New Computer
Wheat Grinder
Spa
A smaller curling iron(Hot Tools)
A Wii
Art
Something delectable from Anthropologie
A day off

This list makes me sound somewhat greedy. Don't judge. It made me excited.

Home Sweet Home

This is just to say....

WE MOVED BACK IN!I thought I'd attempt to replicate flood pictures (which can be seen here) so you could get a really good comparison.

I honestly feel like I live in a fancy apartment. The carpet feels fantastic between my toes and I want to nuzzle into the carpet. It even has this fancy tile underneath my heater:

You can see the old apartment here, here, here, and here.

And of course, this is what I still have left to unpack. I could really use some little elves, or children to do my bidding. I could be like a wicked witch and threaten to throw them in the oven if they didn't finish unpacking(which I would never actually do, mostly because I'm not actually a witch).

Days

Some days just aren't as good as other days.

Once upon a time...

In a far away kingdom there was a beautiful land with beautiful waterfalls and trees that changed color when the weather started to cool.
In this land lived two very attractive peasants.

Who decided one day to take a hike in the wilderness.
It was a long journey and in the end they realized...

...eternity is a really long time.

Noah's Ark Sprung a Leak

Well I know you're dying for pictures of the disaster so here's a few of our apartment:
Yes, we had a water fountain streaming in through our door.
The street...

New House

Yesterday, I picked out the carpet for our apartment(Thank you Lars). Good-bye disgusting stuff that wasn't very soft at all and had started to unravel, which made it look like spiders. (It was also very good at hiding spiders because of it's nasty puke brown color).

Hello plush. My feet and bottom adore you.

Peaceful

My mother once told me that my life is always an adventure. I feel my mother perhaps cursed me forever more. Noah and I have been doing great. We survived the summer and we were cruising along. I should have known after our lesson on Job last week that something was coming. In the Book of Mormon it says:

"For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. If not so...righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad. Wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one; wherefore, if it should be one body it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither sense nor insensibility." 2 Nephi 2:11

Job was tested to prove his faith and in the end he was given more than what he had. I get new carpets and a newly painted apartment, AND NO MORE SPIDERS! At least for a little while. :)
